Abstrak

Orang Jepang hingga dewasa ini masih terus mempertahankan matsuri sebagai suatu
kegiatan spiritual dalam menyeimbangkan kehidupan duniawi dan kehidupan akhiratnya.
Hati dan pikiran orang Jepang menyatu dalam sikap dan perilaku yang
diimplementasikan dalam gerak matsuri. Sepanjang orang Jepang masih ada di dunia,
matsuri akan terus eksis sebagai bagian dari kehidupan spiritual orang Jepang.

Kata Kunci : matsuri, ritual, spiritual

Abstract

; All this present time, the Japanese still keep their spritual ritual that is called matsuri as
an effort to keep their life nowadays balance and the life after. This writing tells about
kinds of matsuri which is held based on seasons, the elements of a matsuri and the
attitude and behaviour of the Japanese toward it.
